Hot Pink Gerbera

Hot pink Gerbera are among the most popular colours this season for bridal bouquets, table and venue decoration.



They work well with many colour themes including, creams, black, greens including apple, moss and mint. Also with mushroom, cappuccino and champagne they add a splash of colour and depth to the overall colour theme.



For table and venue décor they are quite effective as they are or used with darker foliage. As well as being bright and colourful the gerbera are very cost effective.

Tropical Flowers

Tropical flowers always give such a statement and are great for using when there is not a lot of space, just by using 1 or 2 they demand attention.

Flowers such as the Wagneriana which comes both upright and hanging in a range of colours in tones of oranges, reds and yellows, teamed with either nothing or very little such as foliages like Aralia, palms and Monsteria. By plating palms like the Phoenix or Chico also adds just enough detail to the base of an arrangement.

Another plant which is great as an eye catcher is the Strelitzia (bird of paradise) with the very bright orange bloom works really well when you require some height to an arrangement.

Flowers such as these are coming into season just now so are readily available at very affordable costs with a life span of up to 10 days.

Flower ideas for purple bridesmaids

Using bright colours such as lime greens and yellows will give you summery contrast by using flowers such as the sun flower, gerbera, roses, cymbidium and anthurium etc

If you use purple and blues with some deep pink it will give a lovely complementary look using flowers such as sweet pea, lisanthus, roses, freesia and mattholia. to give you a more modern and contemporary look you could match up some hydranga with vanda orchids teamed with foliage such as xanadu, mini aralia or mini monstera.

You can also add detail to your bouquets using wires, beads and crystals etc, this works well if your dresses don't have a lot of detail

when you are choosing your flower and colour choice decide on the overall look you want to create and that will help when choosing your flowers.

Blue Roses

These fascinating Blue Roses are always eye catching and are intriguing to look at.

They look well when grouped or used with other strong flowers create a great impact.

For bridal flowers they work well with either blue dresses of any shade as well as greens, creams and aqua which gives an interesting contrast.

Spring

One of my favourite of the Springtime flowers is the Daffodil, with stunning colour schemes of yellow, orange and cream. The Daffodil is a great way to brighten your home in spring

Although the Daffodil is available in other seasons of the year by importing them from the dutch flower markets, seeing them for the first time burst into bloom in the garden and the perfume they share with us just takes me back to my childhood.

Using Daffodils in simple designs of handties or filling containers such as jugs and old fashion vases make for great Spring decor. Keep it modern and contemporary by using clear vases and teaming them in groups with Birch, Pussy-willow or Catkins gives an inspiring design.

With Spring plants, my favourite being the Primrose give great splashes of colour instantly by planting them together.
